Whilst backpacking around Australia in 2001 Simon, realised he had to stick to a
tight budget which meant he had to find activities through out the trip that
were inexpensive or free. This led me to many of the public galleries and
exhibition spaces all the way up the east coast. Simon soon discovered a wide
range of historical and contemporary photographic practitioners and became
hooked on photography. On returning to the UK, he abandoned his job and
decided to go back to college and study a National Diploma in photography.He is currently studying at degree level at the University College
Falmouth and has a wide photographic interest.His current work has been an
exploration and experimentation in abstraction, 'a chance in art' and
'absence and presence'.
