Dave is a photographic artist and digital media practitioner. After completing an MA in Interactive Media at UWE, he has just finished a Junior Fellowship in Media Practice. Dave has exhibited his photographic work locally,and is particularly interested in exploring collaborative and participatory based projects. Although working digitally Dave avoids manipulation and enhancement in search of the authentic image.
Dave was born in Wales but grew up in Essex, consequently the body of work from which the Gallery 2C images are taken expresses a certain rootlessness. This reflects a desire to connect with a place by looking under the surface and by focusing on the detail beneath. More than anything Dave is inspired by the fleeting everyday moments that are often taken for granted or overlooked
