Mounting and Framing
Bristol Framing
The Bristol Gallery in Clifton has an extensive range of frames where we offer different framing techniques to suit our photographic printing and mounting services. We are excellent Bristol framers for everything including oil paintings, certificates, posters as well as all photographic prints. This framing includes styles such as floating, tray and box frames. Visit our Bristol gallery and choose from our wide range of frames.
If you would like your chosen image from the web framed we have a comprehensive range of frames which can be accessed by clicking on the "Framing Options" icon at the side of each individual image.
Bristol Mounting
Your chosen image can be mounted onto aluminium, mdf or perspex which are ready for hanging without a frame. We dry mount onto 3mm black or white pvc or 5mm foamboard ready for framing.
Aluminium
Aluminium mounting is a very contemporary way of presenting photographic images. Combining simplicity with elegance, images are mounted to smooth 2.5mm 1060 grade aluminium. Images are usually wall fixed with MDF split batons, floating the picture 12mm away from the wall.

Dibond
Dibond is a lightweight alternative to Aluminium, being a composite of aluminium and PVC. Being only one third the weight of aluminium. Dibond is often used in substitution for aluminium in situations where weight is of importance such as framing. Using the same fixings and costing the same as aluminium, dibond mounted prints can create an equally impressive effect but with a lighter weight.

Perspex or Diasec
Perspex or Diasec Reverse Mounting is the new vogue in photographic exhibition techniques. Images are bonded face down onto 3mm perspex clear acrylic that has a 90 % UV inhibitor. On the reverse we mount a sheet of 2mm Dibond or aluminium or black perspex and cut the piece to size to form a perfect sandwich.

Mdf
12mm MDF block mounting is an economical display option that can be highly effective. With hand painted edges in either white or black, this is an excellent way to display prints ranging from photographic to abstract and graphic.

Acrylic Seals
UV inhibiting seals are suitable for prints requiring extra protection from extreme conditions. Available in gloss, matt or crystal, the seal offers protection from water spray and sun. We do not advise the use of seals for archival prints.
