Phoebe of the PC family has a particularly long single left tusk. Here she is resting in the middle of the day and balances her trunk on her huge tusk. Each elephant has different sized tusks and so each elephant also has slightly different trunk resting positions. Despite resting Phoebe is still monitoring the air with her sensitive trunk.
