Ella is one of the four adult females in the so-called EB family. She is the second oldest female in the family after Echo and as such is the likely successor as matriarch when Echo dies. Ella already has her own mind and sometimes “disagrees” with Echo about which direction they should go. I have witnessed “discussions” between the two, with Echo facing one way and Ella the other, with constant calls going back and forth. Echo, as matriarch, usually “wins” the argument but sometimes Ella gets her way. It is fascinating to watch. Ella has very distinctive ears as can be seen in this photograph.
